Who is the cyberstrider CEO?

The Cyberstrider chief executive has a profile on
LinkedIn but he seems to be keeping his name private.

When I was searching the other day, his name was visible but now it is not. Is he lying low?

I don't have the right kind of account to contact him through LinkedIn. If you do, give it a try and see if he will respond.

  1. I believe Denesh Bhabuta is.
His personal site (denesh.co.uk) is down, but google has a cached version below...

  3. I would say Denesh has been very helpful to me in the past and quick to response to issues so this is very unlike him. I fear maybe 'the what happens if you get run over by a bus question' is maybe being acted out!

  4. Well, looking at the twitter extracts at the bottom of his blog, I'd guess he's in Australia!

I've always found he's ignored my problems and fobbed me off with inadequate answers after lots of chasing.

Last year he attempted to hit me with an overusage charge of £120 + VAT for a £10 a year service and I wasted my whole weekend sorting it out.

  5. I'm in the same boat as you guys - my 2 domains are both down. I did get a support ticket answered on Monday night by Denesh himself, and he claimed the reason Cyberstrider was had been down from last Thursday was due to some suspicious activity. As I'm no techy I didn't push him on this. I did ask for him to change the IPS tags on my domains to another provider, but AFAIK this hasn't been done yet.

The reasons I gave him for leaving were 1. no telephone support and 2. no information to let subscribers know what was going on.

  6. I have been trying to transfer out, and on Monday I managed to get Denesh to issue an invoice so I could pay to release the domain - of course as soon as I paid the cpanel went down, they vanished from the face of the earth, and they still have my domain - any ideas what to do?

  7. If it is a .uk domain you can use the Nominet registrar transfer service.

From philyoung on the computeractive forums
"I've ended up transferring my domain using the nominet registrar transfer service (at a cost of £10 + VAT) to 123-reg (no charge for the transfer from them).

Phil is one of the anonymous posters here. But presumably not you.

My domains are .com domains so I'm not sure what the equivalent is.

  8. I've been told via text, they are working on the situation as they have experienced an 'attack'

  9. Thanks
Since I've already handed over money to cyberstrider to release the domain, I'll wait a couple of days before paying nominet - ever the optimist.
